My research interests

"A purely disembodied human emotion is a nonentity" - James

My research line, at the intersections of clinical psychology, neuroscience and epidemiology, consists of the current four core topics:

1) Role of sex hormones in affective disorders; 2) Neurobiological consequences of stress and depression in young and old age; 3) Psychological flexibility as a transdiagnostic trait and 4) Sex and gender differences in neuropsychiatric disorders
The overarching theme is to clarify how the body, brain and mind collaborate in (mal)adaptive responses to life stressors using a lifespan approach
